Soap and Glory Kick Ass Colour Correctors

I recently picked up these colour correcting sticks on a trip to boots. I have used colour correcting palettes in the past and liked the effect they gave me under foundation. But this time I thought I would pick up stick versions. They cost 8 pounds and come in a handy travel friendly stick that can be thrown into your handbag.

The formula of these sticks is quite creamy when you apply them. They blend out well enough but can be a little cakey so it's best to layer them lightly. The packaging is simple and easy to take anywhere so that's a big plus point for me when I go on holiday and tend to have more blemishes ect.

Green stick:
Green is usually used to counteract any redness or inflammation on the skin. This stick worked really well on my red blemishes and scars. It is really pigmented and blended out like a dream. It also didn't make me look ashy which is so important because some correctors can look grey when used on dark pigmented skin. This was my fave stick out of the three.

Lilac stick:
The lilac is usually used to help skin look less tired and brighter. Again this stick was creamy however the colour payoff was less then the green one. I didn't like the stick on my skin as it did create a grey under cast on my face and made me look very ashy. I had to bronze my face heavily to get rid of the discolouration. I wasn't into this stick right now, but might work in the winter when I am a lot paler.

Yellow stick:
This stick says it is meant for dark circles. The stick is very pigmented and creamy and the colour payoff was good, however i found this one to be the most cakey of the three. It created a very bright nearly white coverage under my eyes, which isn't very flattering when using a brighter concealer. I think for my skin shade and pigmentation, peachy and orange concealers work best to counteract any darkness. I do think this stick works well but maybe on lighter skin than mine!

Until next time xo
